A Gift Guide for Experiences
He’s making a list and checking it twice…. and so are you, and if you’re like us you may be looking for more unique and thoughful gifts for your kids this Christmas.
We recently started gifting our kids experiences, and it’s always the most fun gift we give. It’s not always immediate gratification, but that’s what makes it so special for the kids (eventually, anyways). The anticipation of the experience builds and builds, and then on the big day, seeing their eyes truly light up with the excitment of the experience as it takes place is, well, magical. It’s the gift that keeps giving too. A year later we all still talk about what we did, and continue to share in the memory, along with photos to look back on.
The other big plus in our book is that it’s not just another toy to be given away to Goodwill, or that is collecting dust in the closet. The experience itself will always be in the highlight reel of their life, in our lives. The experience where they were exposed to something new and exciting. The experience where they learned something they may never have. The experience that placed a memory in their heart that will always be there. The memory that we all got to share, and grow closer together as a family unit because of it.
Whatever your Christmas list looks like we hope you feel inspired this season as you give to and spend time with all the special people in your life. We also hope that this list will help in some way remind you to take it slow during what can be a whirlwind of events, and truly take in all the experiences that are happening right now around you; especially during the holidays.
